The Art of the Click

Getting someone to click is the most important thing you can do as a marketer.

To a prospect, that click could be the start of their journey or the decision to buy.

To a customer, that click could be used as an upsell or an opportunity to educate them.

Whatever the click, you must understand the motivation and its purpose.

Defining the journey and the steps to get there is what I am an expert in. I make the customer journey fun, engaging, and unique. I understand what it takes to increase conversions and exceed expectations.

5 Ways to Improve Conversions

#1. Have Clear CALL TO ACTIONS (CTAs)

Like everything, it all starts at the beginning. When it comes to clicks, you have to think about it from the end user’s perspective.

First, ask yourself, what do I want them to do?

Second, ask yourself, what do I tell them, so they know what I want them to do?

These two questions will help you define what your call to actions are. For example, if I want you to “click” somewhere, I should probably say “CLICK HERE.” That is a clearly defined call to action.

#2. Use CALL TO ACTIONS Wisely

If you give someone too many choices, there is a good chance that you will overwhelm them.

Use your call to actions wisely.

Ask yourself, what do you want them to do?

When it comes to email marketing, a clear call to action is the way to go. What is the purpose of this campaign? If for instance, you want them to request a demo, buy something, and learn more about your product, you may be overwhelming them.

#3. Use COLOR to Your Advantage

There is a reason why the human eye can see 7,000,000 colors.

To be effective in your marketing, UI/UX, video production, design, and photography, you must use color to draw the viewer or prospect in and show them the way. Using color effectively is important.

Did you know that color can elicit different emotions?

Use color to lead the eye and call attention to the important things to click on. This will increase your conversions. Think about how you ended up on this page.

I got you to click using these techniques.

#4. Think Like An End User

The hardest leap for many professionals is to “think like an end user.”

For me, this comes very naturally.

It is imperative that you put yourself in the end user’s shoes and say, how should I expect this to work? Thinking from their perspective will give you insights that you can’t get from yours.

Strive to understand how they are going to interact with your content and what their journey will be from that point forward.

#5. Deliver on Your Promise

It is very easy to be misleading when it comes to digital marketing in today’s world. Anyone can say pretty much anything they’d like on the web.

For that reason, it is important that you always deliver on the promises that you make. If you are promising something for FREE, it better be free. If you are promising a trial, you should deliver on that.

When it comes to conversions, you must deliver on what you say you are going to deliver on, because if you don’t, the end user will very quickly understand that you are full of s#!t.

Make sure you are delivering on your promises, so you are building trust with your end users.

Marketing is about trust and delivering on promises.
